Winner of Lynn’s Devotional Book and Short Message From My Heart

It has been quite a while since I have sat down to share from my heart.  How I have missed meeting here with you on a regular basis.   I have been spending time with family and working on a new Bible study.  My Charlotte girls started this Bible study last week.

After much prayer, I have decided to use this new study as our next on-line study as well.  I am excited to share it with you!  It’s entitled, “Living So That…:”  Our Call to Action.  I will share more about it soon so stay tuned!

Your sweet words of encouragement over the last weeks, asking when I would be doing another study, have meant so much to me.  Thank you!!!  I love teaching and leading these studies and cannot wait to begin another one with you.

In the next few weeks, I will choose a date in October to begin our next study. Please watch for an invitation to come in your inbox.  If you have not registered for my on-line studies, you can do so through the “Sign up for Wendy’s on-line Bible studies”  link in my sidebar.

In the meantime, I will be participating in two upcoming Proverbs 31 conference calls in October.  The first is for Proverbs 31 Gather and Grow/On-Line study leaders. I will share my thoughts and experiences on starting and leading Bible studies, both traditional and on-line.  If you are part of those teams, please leave me a comment and let me know if you will be on the call.  I love knowing when there are friends on the line.

The second conference call is for Melissa Taylor’s Unglued On-Line Study.  I will share how God transformed me from being an “exploder” mom to one who parents with patience, speaking truth in love .  If you have not joined Melissa’s study, I encourage you to do so by clicking on the link. Leave a comment and let her know you learned about from Wendy! Lysa’s book is an incredible resource, and Melissa has such a gift leading on-line studies.

One more thing, the winner of Lynn Cowell’s wonderful new devotional, Devotions for a Revolutionary Year, is

Mindy Baker

Mindy please e-mail me at deuteronomysix@aol.com and let us know where to mail your gift.

Wow, Wendy! I often like to pray your prayer, “Praying for our children”. I like to keep a copy of it in my bible to get me started in my prayer time. It is such a beautiful prayer and covers every aspect of their lives. Thank you for sharing it. Anyways, I was thinking of you, praying for your ministry of bible study, and hoping you were going to be doing a study soon. Wa La, prayer answered. God is good and timely today! I will be looking forward to hearing what will be studying next. I loved the Hebrews study and am excited to do another! Thx again!!

    • WendyB says:

I am so thankful that you continue to use the Prayer for our Children. You are so kind to pray for my ministry. That means so much!!! I can’t wait to study God’s Word with you again.

      Blessings,

      Wendy

I am dancing on the mountain top with pure EXCITEMENT for this next study! And how fun that we get to be with your Charlotte girls in spirit! Even the title “Living so That…” has my heart on fire. I feel like a kid counting down the days to Christmas :) Maybe I should make a paper chain… I love you Wendy. I will be praying over you. I am thanking God for you! xoxo

  5. Lori Ann says:

I am anxious to do another bible study with you Wendy. Your study of Hebrews was a life changing experience for me. Although I grew up in the church and gave my heart to Jesus as a child, I had never really studied the Bible. Don’t get me wrong, I have read the Bible in it’s entirety, but until the Hebrews study, I had never quite studied it in that great detail. After that study, I have done much of my own digging deeper and once again read the entire Bible just to be refamiliarized with some of my favorite passages. I will be anxious to hear your start date so that I too can begin the countdown. I will continue to pray for you and your family.

    • WendyB says:

Lori Ann, what a blessing to open up my blog today and find your comment . Thank you for sending such sweet words of encouragement. It means so much to know women are really out there ready to dig in to God’s Word again. I look forward to it as well!!!!

      Meet you back here soon!

      Blessings,

      Wendy

  6. Hi Wendy,

I was thinking of you and how that you, Renee, and Melissa have inspired me to share with others.
I too would enjoy leading Bible studies. I’ve always shared them, never have led them.

When I came to your blog and saw the gather and grow group posted I knew God sent me over here again. :)
Would you tell me how to get involved?

Looking forward to your new study.

Thank God for you. God really used you to help me grow.

P.S. I won the Faith pack from Lynn Cowell to give to my young lady neighbor. Lynn suggested that I do a Bible study with her. I gave it to her, she was very excited, along with my telephone number, and a hug… But I don’t know how to lead a Bible study. lol :)

    Much Love,
    June

    • WendyB says:

      Hi June,

What a joy to receive your e-mail!! I always love to hear from a woman who feels called to teach Bible study. I will give your name and e-mail address to Melissa Taylor. She is the one who can plug you into the Gather and Grow community. Trust God that if He is calling you to lead a Bible study, He will equip you. It really is a “learn as you go” calling, but there are things we can do through Proverbs 31 to equip you. And with this Bible study with your neighbor, it will be easy for you because with just two of you, I encourage you to pray, read, answer the questions, and go in with an open heart and mind. God will be faithful. My e-mail is deuteronomysix@aol.com if you have any other questions.

      Blessings,

      Wendy
