I can’t wait to study God’s Word with you again.  Thought I would leave you today with a sneak peak at some of our memory verses for the study.

God speaks so that…

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the [woman] of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  2 Timothy 3:16

Pray so that…

“Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”  Hebrews 4:16

Trials come so that…

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”  James 1:2-4

Live so that…

“You are the light of the world…let your  light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

As you pray about joining us, remember what God teaches us about His Word:

We do not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.  Deuteronomy 8:3

His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.  Psalm 119:9

His way is perfect; His Word is flawless.  2 Samuel 22:31, Proverbs 30:5

Though heaven and earth will pass away, His words will never pass away. Matthew 24:35

Love you all and thank you again for sharing your heart about on-line Bible studies.  I am so very thankful for you!!!

Blessings,

I am so looking forward to your So That study beginning next week~! I have been looking for a long while for Bible studies I could do online as I do not really know anywhere where I live who believes the Bible as I do at least this way there will be interaction, if only online with other believers. I wish I had seen your study Hidden Joy in time to take it, but Gods leads us where HE wants us to be at any given time if we just follow. God Bless you for doing this. I am so excited about starting this with you next week.
May your week be blessed by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

    In Him
    Jackie

  12. Stephanie Bankhead says:

    Wendy-
Your book, Hidden Joy, was an answer to prayer and one of the best I’ve ever read. I’m so looking forward to this study with you! Bless you for listening to the Lord and following!

  13. Yanna Westmoreland says:

Trying to gather my thoughts about what it has meant in my life when God spoke to me I was overwhelmed with how to express everything in words to be read. The word everything is so cliche when He Is Everything. In my mind I flipped the question and asked myself what it would be like without Him in my life. The agony, dispair, sense of loss, emptiness, feeling of grief brought me to gut wrenching tears and a feeling of seperation. Seperation I understand after the recent death of my dad and other loved ones within months of each other. These seperations are easier to adjust to because there is hope. The thought of no God in my life leaves no hope, nothing. Processing all of this I am more determined to give Him all that I am so that I see, feel, hear, smell, breath His Holy Spirit with my every being. I want it All. All that the Holy Spirit has to offer. I thirst and hunger for Him. I yearn for Him. I want Him for me, for everyone. I start my day asking God to not let me miss an opportunity to glorify Him in this day, show me who You want me to bless, to love, to share You. I want what God gave to the Israelites in Deutronomy 32:10- “He found them out in the wilderness, in an empty, windswept wasteland. He threw his arms around him, lavished attention on him, guarding him as an apple of his eye. He was like an eagle hovering over it’s nest overshadowing its young, then spreading its wings, lifting them into the air, teaching them to fly. God alone led him; there was no foreign god in sight. God lifted him onto the hilltops.” (The Message Version) I want to be this “him” so that others will see me soar and “extol Him at all times His praise always on my lips. ” Psalm 34:1 God spoke to me so that I would want Him more.
